A Harvest Hero is a volunteer who uses their personal vehicle to transport equipment to and from picks. They also donate the fruit after the pick.

Qualifications
- 18+ years of age
- Class G driver’s license and vehicle insurance
- Own, or have access to, a large vehicle or trailer (SUV, van, or pickup truck)
- Able to lift 20 lbs
- No police check required
- Commitment: respond via email within 2 days, phone 1 day
- Passion for food security, community, helping people
- Enthusiastic about picking fruit and volunteering
Duties
- Transport all fruit-picking equipment to and from picks
- Select and commit to shifts via Tandempark (our online shift allocation system)
- Provide leadership to volunteer pickers
- Weigh fruit with equipment provided and deliver to client as requested
- Inspect fruit prior to pick (training provided)
